Artificial Intelligence

SCBaptistCRTV harnesses the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to advance the Gospel. These best practices outlines our use of AI ethically, responsibly, and securely to fostering innovation and productivity. SCBaptist Associate Executive Director-Treasurer Dr. Lee Clamp says, “In a world that can’t be trusted and a cooperative effort whose currency is trust, we must get this one right.”

Strength and Limitations
AI is a valuable tool for boosting productivity and generating ideas, but it has limitations in accuracy, consistency, and tone. Understanding these limits and applying human oversight is essential to ensure quality. AI is key to the present and future of SCBaptistCRTV’s creative workflows.

Prompting
SCBaptistCRTV uses AI to spark ideas, offer fresh perspectives, overcome writer’s block, and boost productivity. When prompting AI, be clear and specific about purpose, tone, style, audience, and any requirements to get the best results.

Collaboration and Review
Much like content created by humans, the Creative Team would kindly ask that any material generated by AI be sent to the Creative Team for review. The Creative Team can ensure the accuracy of information, detect potential biases, and provide additional value through their expertise.

Continuous Learning
SCBaptistCRTV values lifelong learning and will stay updated on AI advancements. This best practice will be regularly reviewed to reflect evolving technology, laws, and standards. AI use will comply with legal and copyright requirements.

Human Oversight
SCBaptistCRTV uses AI responsibly, always with human oversight. We would ask that all AI-generated content be reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with SCBaptist messaging and best practices. Since a human initiates AI use, they are ultimately responsible for the final product. Human review is essential to ensure quality, correctness, and appropriateness before publication.

Note:
In this document, Generative Artificial Intelligence platforms and Language Learning Models (e.g., ChatGPT, MidJourney, RunwayML) will be referred to simply as “AI.”
