  • What are the different Creative Request Categories?

    Creative Requests fall into one of four categories:

    • Organization-Wide Request
    • Ministry Priority Team Request
    • Outsource Request
    • Internal Request
  • Who pays for the work done by each Creative Request Category?

    ORGANIZATION-WIDE
    PAID BY SCBAPTISTCRTV / NO COST TO MINISTRY
    Organization-Wide Creative Requests take up 70% of SCBaptistCRTV Staff’s budget and bandwidth. Creative Requests below are fulfilled at no-cost by SCBaptistCRTV (via in-house or outsourced ). IMPACT, Annual Meeting, Converge, Janie Chapman Offering, Executive Board Meetings, Advance Rally, Pre-Conference Collabs, and Crisis Disaster Relief.

    Support Provided:
    The following are provided per each Organization-Wide Event. 
    – 
    Full-Day or Half-Day Photo/Video Event Coverage

    – Event Marketing Package

    – Promo Video or Recap Video (includes production and post-production)

    – Written Advance Story/News Article

    – Tech Support Package

    NOTE: Support outside the above items may need to be assigned to a non-SCBaptistCRTV budget in a case-by-case basis.

    MINISTRY PRIORITY
    PAID BY SCBAPTISTCRTV / NO COST TO MINISTRY

    Ministry Priority Team Creative Requests take up 30% of SCBaptistCRTV Staff’s budget and bandwidth. Each Ministry Priority Team can receive the following support quarterly at no expense to the Ministry Priority Team, at the discretion of the Team Leader. Unfortunately, this support does not carry over each quarter — if you don’t use it, you lose it.

    – 1 Full-Day of Photo/Video Coverage OR 2 Half-Days of Photo/Video Event Coverage

    – 1 Event Marketing Package

    – 1 Promo Video (includes production and post-production)

    – 1 Recap Video (includes production and post-production)

    – 2 Written Advance Stories

    – 1 Video Advance Story

    – 1 News Article

    – 2 Tech Setup Package
    – 1 Social Media post one month prior to event (per event)
    – 1 Social Media post week of registration deadline of event (per event)

     

    OUTSOURCED
    PAID BY MINISTRY / NO COST TO SCBAPTISTCRTV

    Due to SCBaptist’s bandwidth and budget, Outsourced Creative Requests will be outsourced at the Ministry Priority’s expense. These requests still require a Creative Request for workflow management, contractor staffing, digital asset management, and invoice fulfillment. Please be sure to submit an account code with your Creative Request for the Creative Team to process. The Creative Team will submit an estimate/quote for review and approval from the Contractor prior to the start of the Project and your account being charged. If you are interested in recommending a specific Creative Contractor, have the Contractor submit a form here.

    INTERNAL CREATIVE REQUESTS

    Internal Creative Requests, otherwise known as “Creative Checks,”are creative projects that are done internally by a Ministry Priority’s staff. These projects simply need to be emailed to “[email protected]” with the subject “Creative Check” prior to public distribution or printing. No Creative Request form needed.

    NOTE: If a Creative Request is declined, it’s presented to AEDT for next steps. 

  • What are the outsourced costs associated with Creative Requests?

    If SCBaptistCRTV Staff does not have bandwidth or budget to fulfill a Creative Request per the terms of the Creative Request Categories, the request will be outsourced at the Ministry Priority’s expense. Estimated costs associated with common outsourcing tasks are listed below.

    DIGITAL MARKETING ESTIMATES
    Social Media Post: $50

    While posting to SCBaptist channels isn’t outsourced, the content created for the post may be. Cost may vary based on quality, deadline, clarity, experience, and vision.

    VIDEO PRODUCTION ESTIMATES
    Event Coverage (Half Day): $750
    Event Coverage (Full Day): $1,200
    Interview (Half Day): $900
    Interview (Full Day): $1,500

    These are the costs related to the recording of the video content and rates may vary based on quality, deadline, clarity, experience, and vision.

    VIDEO POST-PRODUCTION ESTIMATES

    Studio Talking Head: $200

    Promo/Recap: $500

    Curriculum/Resource: $500

    Advance Story: $1,500

    Animation: $2,500

    These are the costs related to the editing of the video content and rates may vary based on quality, deadline, clarity, experience, and vision.

    DESIGN ESTIMATES

    Graphic Creation: $50/hr 

    Art Direction: 10 hrs

    Print Design: 2 hrs per page

    Pixel Design: 1 hr per deliverable

    Includes one round of edits (request, draft, feedback, final version). Extra edits will incur additional costs. Rates may vary based on quality, deadline, clarity, experience, and vision.

    WEB DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT ESTIMATES
    100/hr

    All design or development requests beyond regular maintenance of scbaptist.org and will require a custom contractor quote.

  • What is an Event Marketing Package?

    An Event Marketing Package includes Art Direction and the design of the following assets:

    Print:
    – 1 postcard
    – 1 poster or banner

    Pixel:
    – 2 social media graphics
    – 1 email marketing graphic
    – 1 brushfire banner graphic
    – 2 presentation slides
    – 1 website event graphic

  • What is a Tech Support Package and Tech Setup Package?

    Tech Support Packages include an SCBaptistCRTVStaff member providing full-service technical support for the entirely of the event. Tech Setup Packages include an SCBaptistCRTVStaff member providing initial tech setup, loading content, and equipment guidance. Under the Tech Setup Package, an SCBaptistCRTVStaff member will not be in attendance for the entirety of the event.

  • What Creative Contractor can I use?

    SCBaptistCRTV has a list of approved Creative Contractors and will work alongside you to staff your request. If you’d like to recommend a potential a Creative Contractor, please have the contractor complete the Creative Contractor form.

  • What is a Creative Check?

    Internal Creative Requests, otherwise known as “Creative Checks” are creative projects that are done internally by a Ministry Priority’s staff. These projects simply need to be emailed to “[email protected]” with the subject “Creative Check” prior to public distribution or printing. No Creative Request form needed.

Timelines

  • When should I submit my Creative Request?

    Please complete a Creative Request six months prior to your event or deadline for your project. A Creative Consult will be scheduled after receiving your Creative Request.

  • When are Creative Requests processed?

    Creative Requests are processed and assigned to SCBaptistCRTV Staff and Contractors the first workday of every week.

    Creative Consults are scheduled Tuesday–Thursday each week for a minimum of 15min and a maximum of 1 hour.

  • How long does it take to do a “Creative Check”?

    Internal Creative Requests, otherwise known as “Creative Checks” are creative projects that are done internally by a Ministry Priority’s staff. These projects simply need to be emailed to “[email protected]” with the subject “Creative Check” prior to public distribution or printing. No Creative Request form needed. Creative Checks will be processed each week when Creative Requests are processed.

  • How long does it take to complete in-house Event Marketing Package Creative Requests?

    Minimum eight weeks from Creative Request submission to print deadline:

    Week 1: Review request, schedule consult
    Week 2: Hold consult and begin marketing plan
    Week 3-4 : Develop Art Direction
    Week 4: Approve art direction, Draft email template
    Week 5: Draft digital/print assets, schedule social media
    Week 6: Finalize digital and print assets, send to printer

  • How long does it take to make an in-house social media post Creative Request?

    Request Phase: Creative Requests are processed and assigned every Monday. Creative Consults are scheduled Tuesday–Thursday

    Production Phase: SCBaptistCRTV completes design once the project is approved.
    If not, it’s scheduled based on platform analytics. If the client provides copy, it must be included in the request; if not, Creative will write it (add 1 day).

    Scheduling Phase (1 Week):
    Day 1 – Clarity: If time-sensitive, the post is scheduled at the next available slot.
    Day 2 – Scheduling: Creative Team schedules based on platform, audience, and calendar availability.

  • How long does it take to complete an Art Direction Creative Request?

    Request Phase: Creative Requests are processed on Monday and Creative Consults are scheduled Tuesday–Thursday

    Production Phase:
    Day 1: Creative begins once all approved content is received and a moodboard is developed
    Day 4: First draft delivered
    Day 5: Client gives feedback
    If approved → sent to Print Team
    If not → second draft scheduled
    Day 9: Second draft delivered
    Day 10: Client feedback due
    If approved → sent to Print Team
    If not → project placed on hold; a new Creative Request and Creative Consult will be needed to continue.

    At most, SCBaptist can provide one art directions per quarter in-house.

  • How long does it take to complete writing Creative Requests?

    Request Phase:Creative Requests are processed and assigned every Monday. Creative Consults are scheduled Tuesday–Thursday

    Advance Stories:
     
    Max 4/month (2 from scratch, 2 from audio); ~1 month turnaround

    News Articles: 
    Min 2/month; 1-week turnaround (quicker if time-sensitive)

    Resources: 
    1-week turnaround (varies by length)

    Copyediting: 
    2-week turnaround (varies by length)

    Proofreading: 
    1-week turnaround (varies by length)

    Video Scripts:
    2-week turnaround (varies by length)

    Time Estimates:
    Writing: ~200 words/hour
    Editing: 5–7 pages/hour (in-depth)
    Proofing: 10–12 pages/hour (final check)
    Interviewing: 1 hr per person (30 min prep + 30 min interview)
    Transcription to Writing: 200 words/hour + 1 hr to review content

  • How long does it take to complete in-house video Creative Requests?

    Request Phase: Creative Requests are processed and assigned every Monday. Creative Consults are scheduled Tuesday–Thursday

    Total Capacity

    Up to 6 videos per month, including no more than two Advance Stories

    Liners/Talking Head: 
    ½ day production + ½ day post-production

    Recap/Highlight: 
    1 day production + 1 day post-production

    Promo:
    1 day production + 1 day post-production

    Advance Story: 
    1 day production + 2 days post-production

  • How can I add to my Creative Request after I submit it?

    The Creative Team suggests that the Ministry Priority complete a Creative Consult where the Creative Team will attempt to be as complete as possible to walk a ministry through their project and request. Deliverables can be added after the Creative Consult on a case-by-case basis.
