Creative Requests + Consults

This guide offers answers to frequently asked questions about Creative Requests, Creative Consults, and the Creative Calendar.

  • What is the difference between a Creative Request and a Creative Consult

A Creative Request (CRTVReq) is the form to request help from SCBaptistCRTV. You can also request a Creative Consult—a meeting to discuss project details like scope, timeline, budget, and direction.

  • When should I submit a Creative Request?

Please complete a Creative Request six months prior to your event or deadline for your project. A Creative Consult will be scheduled after receiving your Creative Request.

  • What types of projects can I request through a Creative Request?

You can request a wide range of support from SCBaptistCRTV, including (but not limited to):

    • Audio: Podcast, session recording, voiceover, editing

    • Design: Cards, banners, brochures, booklets, magazines, SWAG, web and social graphics

    • Email: Campaign templates, Mailchimp support

    • Event: Signage, environment/exhibit design, photo/video coverage, tech and presentation support, streaming

    • Marketing: Campaigns, audience research, promo materials

    • Photo: Headshots, event coverage, stories, press

    • Social Media: Graphics, videos, GIFs, stickers

    • Video: Stories, promos, resources, recaps, event/news coverage

    • Web: Landing pages, feature updates, tech help

    • Writing/Editing: Articles, stories, resources, documentation

    • SWAG: Apparel, bags, mugs, pens, notebooks, stickers, and more

  • What kind of content does SCBaptistCRTV create?

Content SCBaptistCRTV creates falls into five categories:

Advance Story – Celebrates life transformation and ministry moments, written as website articles, sometimes with video.

Resource – Helps leaders with Great Commission efforts (e.g., guides, toolkits, training videos, podcasts).

Promo – Promotes upcoming events through graphics, video invites, social media, or email campaigns.

News – Recaps past events with videos, articles, or social posts.

Update – Shares straightforward info through simple videos, posts, emails, or texts.

  • How do I check the status of my Creative Request?

SCBaptistCRTV uses Asana to track all Creative Requests, with each requester tagged as the project owner. To keep projects on track, please use Asana for all communication. For status updates, feel free to email the Creative Director.

  • Do I need to bring ideas to my Creative Consult?

You’re not required to bring ideas to your Creative Consult, but you’re more than welcome to—we’d love to hear your thoughts!

If you’d like to know the questions the Creative Team will likely ask at the Creative Consult, we’d potentially ask these questions:

Can you provide 2–3 sentences of marketing copy for promotional consistency?

Who is the target audience for this project or event (in one sentence)?

What action would you like your audience to take (in one sentence)?

What URL would you like us to use for marketing this event?

Can you provide 2–3 sentences for art direction or links to inspiration?

What are your desired digital design deliverables?

What are your desired video deliverables?

What are your desired web deliverables?

What lists or segments will you be using?

What is the schedule for when emails will be sent to the above lists?

What are your desired social media deliverables?

Can you provide a document with the details of your desired audio recordings?

What editorial content will be needed for print deliverables?

What oversized deliverables (banners, signage, etc.) are needed?

What oversized printed pieces (postcards, rack cards, etc.) are needed?

What oversized publications (magazines, booklets, etc.) are needed?

Can you provide the full schedule for your event?

Can you provide a shot list for the 3–4 hours of photo/video coverage?
Can you provide an account code and a shot list for photo/video coverage?

  • Who should I invite to my Creative Consult?

Feel free to invite anyone you believe should provide input, including SCBaptist staff or key Ministry Partners.

  • When is a Creative Request considered “complete?”

A Creative Request is complete when it’s approved by both the Requester and Creative Director, all subtasks are finished by SCBaptistCRTV, and the parent task is marked complete by the Requester.

  • What if I have a last minute Creative Request?

Please submit a Creative Request so it’s tracked in our project management system. SCBaptistCRTV will do their best to accommodate, but last-minute requests may not always be possible due to current workload and availability.

  • What is the Creative Calendar?

The Creative Calendar organizes content across all digital platforms and includes the SCBaptist Focus, Advance Rally Focus, and key dates for holidays, resources, and major deliverables.

  • How do I request a print project and what’s the approval process?

Print projects are handled by the Print Services Team through their Ministry Support Sheet. For details, contact Jeff Dial or Joe Tindal. If your item wasn’t designed by SCBaptistCRTV, please submit a Creative Request so our team can review it before printing.
